About Me
Hi. My name is Laycie. Thank you for taking the time to actually come to the website to read the About Me section. I hope you are able to learn a little about me and where your tasty caramels are coming from. I am an Arizona native (amongst the few and the proud). I love dogs and cold weather (but I do not like cold dogs, only hot dogs).

I am employed as a Registered Nurse in a Neonatal ICU, and while this job is both satisfying and fulfilling being able to make caramels is my true passion. I've always been eager to learn and experiment in the kitchen and going into the caramel business has given me the ability to do both.
The Medaramel's Story
Medaramel's Caramels was established in 2018. However the history runs much deeper than that. I am the fourth generation caramel maker in my family with the recipe originating with my great grandmother. I was taught at a young age how to make the caramels and over the years have not only perfected the technique but have made them even more delicious by adding some additions to the original tried and true recipe. Nowadays you can find me (most often with my grandma right along side me) making caramels on my days off.
